March 2008 Update RICHARD AND MARGUERITE REMINGTON             

Living in the historical center of protestantism, rationalism, atheism, secularism and materialism, is indeed an interesting experience. From castles to churches, from punk hair and clothing styles to traditional folk music and styles, from unabashed displays of flesh to bold proclamations that Jesus is "das Lamm des Gottes," we are truly at the geographical and spiritual center of our mission field.

Nearly forty-two years ago, when a couple of immature newlyweds went to pastor their first church in a tiny Ohio town, it was inconceivable that God would someday set them down in the middle of Europe and provide an opportunity to influence a continent.

In February of 2001, we completed twenty years of pastoring the Gillette, Wyoming, Foursquare church. Following the direction of the Holy Spirit that was powerfully confirmed, we sold our home and most of our personal possessions, said goodbye to our children, grandchildren and friends, and moved to a small town in north-central Germany.

Bad Gandersheim is an ancient town dating back at least 1200 years. We are blessed to have an apartment in a building that was part of a Benedictine monastery for 400 years. It was built in 1127 AD, and became a private residence in 1640. It is now part of a working farm that raises many kinds of crops as well as horses and ponies.

Our primary role is serving as teachers, counselors and advisors to the leadership of an international Bible college. It is called Glaubenszentrum (Faith Center) and has been in Germany for 27 years. Our building was originally occupied as a motor sports school but later became a front for Nazi military purposes. Adolf Hitler made speeches from the small balcony over the Reception entrance where the name of Jesus is now carved in stone.

God has fulfilled a personal dream by allowing Dick to be a regularly contributing writer to the Glaubenszentrum bi-monthly publication with a readership of 28,000.

We are privileged to participate in the life of ten additional Bible colleges located in England, Holland, Denmark, Bulgaria, Albania, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Romania. As we have opportunity, we visit these schools to teach, bring encouragement and help network the Christ for the Nations Associated Bible Colleges.

We are also involved in ministering to local churches in Germany and surrounding countries. God is opening more doors of opportunity to participate with Foursquare Missions in Europe. We have been regular teachers at Worldbase Norway, since it’s inception.
