LYNNEA ISUM                NEWSLETTER
After going to college and then figuring out I wasn't going to be a doctor, I wondered what to do with the rest of my life. At 22 that was very serious! I'd had a longing to work in missions since I was a little girl, but I thought I needed a profession to do any full time missions work (doctor, teacher, pilot... :) ) While waiting and wondering, I worked as a substitute teacher, a homeschool teacher and nanny as well as helping with the children's ministry in the church. In 1997 I had the chance to be a home school teacher for a year at a Bible School in Germany. Germany found it's way into my heart, and in June 2002 I returned to the CFNI Bible School here in Bad Gandersheim, Germany to serve full-time. I know God has sent me here and am so thankful too to have the heritage of Gillette Christian Center and be an ambassador for Jesus from Wyoming.

I work full time in children's ministry and teach the 1-3 year olds mornings while their parents are in the Bible school classes. They just soak up what you teach them about Jesus and we have a lot of fun together singing songs, learning Bible verses and listening to stories. We hear back from parents how thankful they are for what their children learned and how it continues to impact their life as they grow older. I learn a lot about God's love for me, too, and how just like with training children to be obedient, God's love is all about repetition and patience. The Bible school students also train for various ministries, so I have a part in helping train them as they come to work in my group or as we go on outreaches together.

I work with the older children too, mostly in music, helping lead worship for the children's events throughout the year. People come from all over Germany for the revival services held every month and for the summer Bible School weeks during July and August.

In case you're wondering, almost all of what I do is in German. I speak fluently (with mistakes - smile) and am so thankful for God's gift in helping me learn another language. I think, pray and speak mostly in

German, so when I speak English, it's often full of little mistakes, too.

The staff here at the Bible school are wonderful, and are all investing this season of their lives here to see God's kingdom be advanced in Germany and Europe. I have been blessed with some good friendships and learn more and more about serving, leadership, and teamwork.

Seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things

will be added to you. Matthew 6:33
