We have come through winter, moved past spring, and are now onward to what I trust will be a summer filled with just the right mix of sunshine and rain.  It takes the proper balance of these two things to have our land reach its fullest potential.

Church seasons are the same; it takes the proper balance of certain elements for us as a church body to reach our fullest potential.  Two that are important for us as we enter into this season are vision and unity. The staff and I share a genuine excitement as we enter into this next season of our church life.  We believe that God is bringing us into a season of growth, not only in attendance but true spiritual growth towards the things of God.

We have an opponent that is always seeking opportunities to stop or hinder the plans of God.  Even though he is a defeated foe, he still hassles us with his tactics.  While these can be outright “in-your-face” attacks, most often it’s the subtle attacks doing the damage.  I don’t say this to give glory to the devil but to remind us to remain alert as Scripture admonishes us to do.  Sadly, one of Satan’s more effective tools ends up being unsuspecting brothers and sisters in Christ.  They love Jesus but get caught up in a critical spirit and disunity.  Unfortunately, none of us are immune to these attitudes, but if we remain alert we don’t have to fall prey to them; or if we do, we don’t have to stay there.  God has given us the authority and the ability to break free from the enemy’s influence and to continue to live in that freedom.

If we as a church body can walk solidly in unity, Scripture reminds us that this is a sweet blessing and we will see God’s vision come to pass.  If disunity is allowed, our focus can become lost and the vision will falter.  The choice is ours and we can make it every day. Stay close to God.  Resolve people conflicts quickly.  Avoid being a listening ear to those who are critical and/or argumentative.  Finally, resolve personal conflicts of the heart.  If we are in harmony with ourselves, others and God, there is nothing that can stop God’s plans from being fulfilled.

As I said earlier, I am very excited about what we are entering into.  So much so that I am praying that any influence - spiritual or otherwise - that would be of a critical or contentious spirit, would not be allowed to stay in Gillette Christian Center.  This may sound harsh but in the end this not only moves us into a marvelous future but also protects the flock.  We have every reason to feel goose bumps about our future and should do all that we can to see it happen.

God Bless
Pastor Clint

At Gillette Christian Center, we are a church family desiring to impact today's culture through the ministry of the Word of God, never compromised, always tempered with grace and love as well as balanced perspective. We endeavor to minister and impart vision to both the young and mature Christian in an atmosphere where spiritual growth can take place through heart-felt worship, sincere friendships, genuine prayer and compassionate care for those in need.

We believe it is not only necessary, but vital for our church to have a welcoming environment where the un-churched can come and receive the hope of Jesus Christ; therefore we strongly encourage a genuine atmosphere of love and grace for all who walk through the doors.

The body at Gillette Christian Center is truly a family with arms extended to all, as we live out our Christianity in a way that makes a difference through influencing and encouraging our entire community, one life at a time.
